Pros

1. Quality of talent recruited is something others draw inspiration from. 2. Pay right out of college is good. 3. Great brand name. 4. Field Sales have the freedom to plan and execute.

Cons

1. Quality of talent has been dwindling because of changes in the hiring strategy. 2. Pay plateaus after a 2-3 years. Appraisals are meager. Promotions are painfully employee driven. HR has no say whatsoever. You perform well and don't get promoted at times(they tag it to the overall company performance). 3. No employee engagement or training. Management expects you to make a business plan but doesn't have a training and ramp-up plan for the new ones joining the sales team.

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.

Career advancement can be slow, with limited opportunities for promotion or lateral movement in some orgs. Compensation growth tends to fall behind. Several org changes following Emerson acquisition.
