Pros
Some of the people can be very kind and welcoming, unfortunately, they weren't on my team
Cons
- My on-boarding consisted solely of one team member sharing her screen with me in my second week, 3 times...and any time I asked questions, instead of answering them, she'd tell me to look at my notes. At some times, flat out refused to help or answer normal questions one has when starting a new role. It got to the point that I became nervous to ask questions ever. This person also refused to make eye contact and be cordial towards me during company outings. Weekly zoom meetings became unbearable and extremely anxiety inducing, to the point where my body would shake. - The person above, I would later find out, was documenting me from day 1, incorrectly, to the CEO, which I'd later read in my 6 month review. It was a very hostile work environment to be treated so poorly upon joining a new company. It was a very long and agonizing 6 months. I could never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to there. - Two women there are VERY negative (development and marketing teams), condescending, disrespectful. Even others heard how I was spoken to at all staff events, and promised me "It would get better" and I shouldn't be spoken to that way. One time, it even happened in front of the HR staff member. - Filled with "professional" bullies (people who constantly pick on you or belittle your work, but frame it in a constructive way so HR wouldn't be able to do anything about it).
