Pros

None anymore they’ve taken away any pros

Cons

This company used to be amazing to work and it has just gone downhill since returning back to the office after Covid. It seems that the CEO only cares about people being physically in the office and not about their own lives and what works for them. We are having our two days working from home, stripped from us. Leaving us at a minimum just Fridays. They claim to be flexible for family life balance but leaving early used to be a perk to get kids off the bus, to their daycare etc etc .. and to finish your day from home as long as you were in the office for more than four hours. That’s no longer the case as of January 1 would be in the office four days a week at a minimum like I stated earlier and now we are expected to be in the office completely eight hours no ifs ands or buts. Work home balance is so crucial in today’s world especially when they don’t pay enough to afford daycare. I left my job and came to National Life several years ago for it just to be completely changed and then to be selfish and not care about their employees. If you’re looking for a job, that is a family balance stay far away until they get their heads out of their behinds because us who are here now with kids have seen nothing but a decline in caring for us. Mehran only cares about the looks of the company not his employees happiness only the agents which are lacking in common sense. He doesn’t have to worry about affording childcare making 6 figures. Us scraping together Pennie’s however do.

We appreciate your feedback. Since the Covid crisis is behind us, we believe in the energy, collaboration and camaraderie that exists when people are together in person. We also recognize that this schedule might not work for everyone. We encourage you to meet with your manager, your People Center Business Partner, or me about your concerns. – Michael Veilleux

Pros

Good pay, nice people to work with but as a consultant I feel a bit on the "outside".

Cons

Every single person that is an Executive Vice President is a man with the only woman being the CEO's Executive Assistant. Clearly you can see there is a distinct "known" here at this company.

We recognize that diversity has historically been an issue in our industry. However, if you look at our corporate board, we're actively working to diversify and will continue to make sure we consider all aspects. We will always focus on adding the most qualified talent to all of our roles across the entire organization. If you would like to connect further regarding this, I would welcome the opportunity to talk. - Michael Veilleux, Chief People Officer
