Room to be Better - Team Manager National Life Group Employee Review

Pros

Hybrid work environment 3 days in office, Mondays/Fridays at home - it’s the best of both worlds, I enjoy my teammates I work with, while having the balance to prioritize my health, productivity, while still having connections without burning out each week. People focused culture never had leadership that focused on me the person versus the bottom line all the time, great benefits.

Cons

Scrappy, missing structures that exist in larger organizations, salaries aren’t as competitive. Wish there were more opportunities to connect with teammates across floors/departments socially, more onsite culture as an office versus with individual departments. Commute to Addison is tough from Dallas.

Pros

Good pay, nice people to work with but as a consultant I feel a bit on the "outside".

Cons

Every single person that is an Executive Vice President is a man with the only woman being the CEO's Executive Assistant. Clearly you can see there is a distinct "known" here at this company.

We recognize that diversity has historically been an issue in our industry. However, if you look at our corporate board, we're actively working to diversify and will continue to make sure we consider all aspects. We will always focus on adding the most qualified talent to all of our roles across the entire organization. If you would like to connect further regarding this, I would welcome the opportunity to talk. - Michael Veilleux, Chief People Officer
