The National Park Service is the worst of the worst. If you enjoy a hyper-toxic work environment that borders on cultism for less than a livable wage, then the NPS is probably for you. 15 years of bullying and harassment, working in unsafe situations intentionally created by others, and watched years of seasonal staff harassed by serial abusers. The power structure of park management is appalling and any attempt to fire abusers or remedy toxic workplaces by the Washington office or OIG is met with retaliation or is completely ignored and the abuser simply transferred to the next unassuming park. Nepotism, cronyism, and retaliation are the basic capital of the National Park Service which reflects its 383rd out of 431 ranking in the 2022 federal employee survey.
