Pros
The benefits are better than private sector.
Cons
The new CEO only understands and values membership dues, which is barely a fraction of the total association revenue. She announces organizational changes to the membership at large before even broadcasting internally to her own staff, the people who will be impacted by the changes. Senior and Executive Leadership devalues employees, openly mocks them, does not trust them to be productive without micro-management. Executives claim to be stressed about the association operating at a loss since 2018, but they seem to forget their salaries are public and we can see the massive raises they are giving themselves year over year. Zero strategic vision and zero cross-functional collaboration. Total failure at the executive level to align the business functions on goals and priorities.
