Pros
Decent pay. Good for making a bit more right out of school, but not great if you want to practice more medical/full scope optometry.
Cons
Don’t manage a lot of medical cases or specialty contacts, etc. Doing mostly refractions. Also as an employee, the company dictates how many patients you have to see an hour and they want you to see as many as possible and push sales. Thankfully I negotiated in my contract to only see 3 an hour (plus a follow up). So not as bad as Americas best.
