Pros

Desk job, good environment, great people, wonderful way to get involved with the community through the company. Amazing (but vague, depending on how you look at it) values and a mission statement that you can carry with you even if you leave the company. Great place to work with room for growth if you don't mind staying within the servicing department. Not so much if you took the position as entry-level hoping to get into corporate. Nationwide is the guy who picks teammates on the basis of "nice"; do your job, be courteous and willing to help, and you'll have nothing to worry about.

Cons

You are held accountable to the very minute and second of your activity. Pay and benefits could be much better. The illusion of growth, once you're aware of it, lingers heavily and only gets bigger and more awful. I honestly don't know how people with several dependents can live on barely 30k a year. Work-life balance needs to be improved. Very difficult to get two days in a row off; if you're hoping to do a weekend roadtrip out of town, better plan day trips - you'll be getting split weekends. Time off is managed through a system and approved by people on the other side of a computer screen with no way of knowing your circumstances. Each department uses many different systems to do the same thing - it's hard to be consistent in process and practice when no one is on the same page. Guidelines and training are also inconsistent, though sometimes this can't be helped with when and how they are updated. Starting out on the job can be frustrating when you don't know very much and are expected to take care of and maintain customers.
