Pros
Benefits are good - and I don't think they are too expensive. I believe that the majority of the people I work with really want to do a good job and provide customer service to our insureds. i can work from home, have company car.
Cons
Frequent changes in organizational structure and not for the best. Millions spent on programs on customer service, etc...and then the program is just dropped and never mentioned again. Over-emphasis on saving money . No work/life balance - I am working 60 hours a week. No one is willing to stand up and tell it like it is for fear of losing their jobs. The company is reactive - not proactive. By the time they take action on something - it is way too late. Performance appraisals are not objective - you can get the highest marks in most categories and still not hit exceeds. When you have a company in which 40% of the employees are on a coaching plan - there is something very wrong.
