Business Outlook
Pros
Great position negotiating contracts with large defense contractors for major weapons systems. Lots of independent work, but also coworkers are great about offering assistance when asked, such as what they have done when confronted with a similar situation. Lots of young people. They hire several contracting interns every year.
Cons
Negotiating contracts isn't for everyone. You must be very comfortable with math and have some accounting skills. Commuting into DC can also be a hassle. Initial salary for recent college graduates isn't as competitive as private industry, but you're essentially guaranteed annual pay raises to GS-13 level.
