      Pros

      -Relatively stable job -A lot of really nice people

      Cons

      Management is poor. Most managers are engineers with no real training other than what they see on their daily interactions with the Navy. Thus yelling and public humiliation are key tools they use. I've been recognized as one of the best engineers they've ever had. I think their system is a broken as it gets. Work life balance is pretty bad too

      Decent pay and benefits for the area, unique work that you can't do many other places, good opportunities for travel and promotion

      Cons

      Commute and parking turns 8 hour shifts into 10 hour shifts, mandatory overtime and travel for periods of several months, frequent shutdowns, very poor morale, terrible first level supervision, mediocre middle management
