Pros
Excellent potential for upward mobility. Many current senior managers began their careers as mechanics and technicians when they were young. Pay and benefits are excellent, especially for less senior personnel.
Cons
The military and civilian policy mix can sometimes be confusing. Working in the government field comes with additional requirements. Many big decisions are often made from well outside the control of local management.
