Pros

Within my team, I loved my coworkers and we felt supported by each other in the work we aimed to achieve. At an IC-level, cross-functional engagement and work felt cohesive.

Cons

Middle and senior management was consistently changing and goals were also consistently disrupted. Some of this was out of their control, some was reactive to executive positions, and some was due to their own personal agendas. This often resulted in blaming ICs and a toxic culture.

Employees and leaders are often expected to be accountable for metrics without reliable reporting or clear guidance on how those metrics are measured. Workload distribution can feel inconsistent, creating an environment where some teams and managers become overextended while others are underutilized. This contributes to burnout, frustration, and a lack of confidence in operational decision-making.
