Pros

Discount on merchandise- 30% everyday and double discount days almost every month Seems to impress people that one works there

Cons

Incompetent, clueless management. The direct division is run by the most archaic merchants I've ever seen. No vision, no leadership. They change their minds and cause the people who work for them (buyers, planners, assistants) to do the same work again & again. Many of them are just plain mean, too. DMM's scream at their staff, even throw shoes at people. Vacations are cancelled at the last minute if you can even get one approved. The bonus plan sounds good but the criteria is so high (and I have several other retailers on my resume to benchmark against) that no one ever gets one. Everyone is cut-throat. Not a team environment at all. Figure it out yourself because no one will teach or train you. My own direct manager didn't have a touchbass with me until my 3rd week at the office- always too busy!! Work environment is depressing- attached to a warehouse with no Windows's except for the DMM's hallway. The parking lot is dark and scary at night.

Pros

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

Pros

good pay, good retired tech/fashion prop sales, hour long lunches

Cons

terrible work environment with whole bunch of eating disorder talk and projection at models (even from some management), management makes everyone stay until 4:30 even when all the minimum work requirement (and oftentimes more) is done, they will write you up for something extremely small then dismiss a big thing from another employee, terrible communication between managers therefore terrible communication to employees, employees get publicly ridiculed when they're just asking questions even amidst the terrible communication issues that are already there,
