Pros

Benefits/health insurance package, made some good friends with coworkers, independence during workday compared to other retail jobs

Cons

Unrealistic expectations as far as job description. Essentially doing marketing assistant job WHILE being expected to sell a lot on the sales floor. VERY difficult to make commission (draw vs. commission structure, which I think is unethical), lots of unnecessarily competitive (aka mean) coworkers, tons of pressure from executive office. Corporate teams are very very disjointed from the stores themselves.

Pros

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

Pros

Employee discount and free samples

Cons

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
