Pros
You will likely work with some of the most talented, hard working, and genuinely kind teammates. They will look out for you. If any one of them contacted me outside of work and needed help, I'd drop everything. Advice to co-workers: with all the drive and idealism at this company, try to treat this job as just a job. Clock in, do what you can, and clock out, for as long as that serves you.
Cons
I've had my share of breaking moments with this company. My fellow reviewers clearly have, and I know many others for whom the number of negative reviews doesn't account for. However I think the truth is this company is little different than any other software company you can find yourself working in. Perhaps one difference is they have the strongest sense of moral licensing that acquiring companies serving non profits can buy. Socially responsible packaging is certainly sexy these days, but it doesn't mean your decisions always 'Make Good Happen'. Communication leaves much to be desired, but they are seemingly always working on it. Money conversations will be hard. It's easy to get caught up and overwork yourself, sometimes because you love your clients, sometimes just to get noticed and considered for promotions/raises. But management is mysterious, and they often don't seem to understand just how much goes into completing your work.
