Pros

Benefits, culture, very supportive co-workers, unlimited PTO, unlimited sick days

Cons

Neon went through a large acquisition and as most acquisitions go, new leadership came in and destroyed the company and culture. There are a lot of reviews referencing the "old Neon," which valued their employees, the positive culture, and their clients. Under new leadership, Neon is only about numbers. They push a "mission-driven" culture, but their only goal is to take as much money as they can from these non-profits, even during a pandemic. Favoritism and nepotism have become issues in certain teams, which is very disappointing, considering "the old Neon" used to advocate internal promotions and hiring from within. This is unfortunately no longer the case. There are several people who have been with the company for years and have yet to be promoted. And there some people within the company (who are related to leadership) who got promoted to executive positions within 8 months, with very little qualifications to back it up. I can't imagine how that feels to some who have been with Neon for 5+ years. Leadership is disorganized and only checks in once a quarter with generic updates about numbers and that the company isn't making enough money. It would be helpful to get insights into how these targets are generated because they are highly aggressive. All Neon's clients are non-profit and coming off a year that was very challenging financially. Neon has an incredible support team but the employees are so burnt out because they can't keep up with the workload and Neon refuses to hire more support staff - only sales people. But how are more salespeople going to help when current clients complain constantly that they can't get a response from support before 72 hours?
