in 2010 Neptune was sold to Service Corporation International which is the largest funeral enity in the US. It was a gradual buy out with the final transfer coming in 2015. Along with the change of ownership came a change in managment style.. As an independent contractor if you don't sell you don't eat. Simple and easily understood fact of life for all sales people. 2015 brought the "grind" mentality to the table. Mandatory conference calls, constant follow up from supervisors ... more sales, more sales. ISR were often treated like children. Unattainable goals, docked comission checks and addition of more and more sales staff which ultimately saturated the lead base. In many areas same company under diferent name working same service area and in some cases, out of same location. No longer rewarding, no longer fun.
