Pros
I was good at my subject matter before, but Nest has made me great. They give you the opportunity to really expand, learn, & grow. Once you master your field, they encourage you to reach out to other teams to pick up new skills. Plenty of companies want you to just keep doing what you're doing because you're good at it and they don't want to have to go through the hassle of replacing you. At Nest they just want you keep growing. Be the best [insert your name here] you can be. Once I feel I've plateaued they provide new and exciting challenges. I've met many great people there and made many great relationships. Because I'm allowed to talk to any person on any team I've made great relationships. A secondary benefit of these relationships I've been able to get help from them on my projects and in return I provide my knowledge and insight on their projects. I definitely do more than what I was hired to do, but voluntarily. No extra work has been forced on me.
Cons
Meetings where not much gets accomplished occur a lot. Not because great ideas aren't tossed around, but because it seems there's no one person in the meeting that writes down the minutes and sends them to everyone that attended the meeting (which some times contains people that don't need to be there trying to offer their opinion). Great ideas often get lost and forgotten. If your great ideas are finally agreed upon and added to the road map, expect to push back the complete date multiple times due to a lack of resources and everyone else's project/ideas may be consistently prioritized over yours. I like to use the phrase "too many cooks in the kitchen".
