Pros
The external-facing parts of the company are great. Great brand, marketing, products, HW design, company mission about saving energy and keeping homes safe, and a nice app experience.
Cons
Internally, the company is still recovering from being raised by neglectful leaders (and CEOs) who ran the teams ragged. Product development is done painfully, in functional silos with little ability to cooperate cross-functionally. Current leaders are guiding things in the right direction, but there's still a long road ahead of roadmap commitments. In the past, teams were burned out by these over commitments. It remains to be seen whether 2017 will be more of the same. There may be a rosier view of things from the business teams who aren't responsible for building the products.
