Business Outlook
Pros
Line level management was good to work with, however there was little structure to the organization. As a shift manager, it was more important to put out fires that occurred during the shift, rather than to meet any organizational goals long term.
Cons
Human resources was very antagonistic to supervisors and above. Instead of supporting management decisions, HR would act as an employees advocate, even when there was blatant and egregious violations of policy. Numerous times, HR generalists would form friendships and romantic entanglements with frontline employees, and would then shield them from any type of performance counseling
