Pros

Coworkers are among the best I have worked with. Following company culture catalysts, they are very professional yet laid back and accepting. Many have the drive to continuously improve. High paying for the area. Many benefits onsite including free gym access, video games, access to a cafe and awesome break rooms.

Cons

Company struggling. Work is not recognized. Politics control advancement at times, depending on management. This seems to be due to a common theme which is attempting to be fixed however stems from management teams straying from the company policy to create their own undocumented guidelines. To add a personal example my former manager had done his reviews of employees without looking at the work they had done, only using his opinions of the employees even after we had submitted our reviews which allow great detail of work. He did not even check statistics such as work completed. Opportunity to advance is rare, with many still waiting to move up after working there for years. This may change if the company recovers well but for now even when jobs open, the normally close shortly after without being filled.

Pros

- Not the worst pay around - Opportunity for advancement if you get the right management - Good financial benefits (ESPP, 401k options, mega backdoor Roth) - The one thing GK is good at is driving up the company stock price. Hope you got yourself some RSUs

Cons

- NetApp hasn't made a new product in 10 years, so you'll be hard pressed to find development work that isn't directly tied to supporting what was built before then. - Very little innovation other than weekend-project-level AI tools - Health and dental benefits are not great - Upper management is completely detached from reality
