Not always a great place to work - Anonymous employee NetApp Employee Review

Pros

So far, there has been a lot of flexible work options - work at home some days and work a split schedule. This flexibility has been a real lifesaver as a working parent. The pay is pretty good and most of the people are dedicated to their jobs. There are still occasional beer busts, and free food sometimes. Finally, the volunteer time off is a unique benefit and it has been wonderful to be able to give back to the community.

Cons

After the last reorg, there have been almost daily fire drills with no end in sight. While it doesn't seem to be a widespread problem, there is one senior manager who seems to be playing favorites, going so far as to only greet certain team members, so the situation is rather tense.

Pros

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Cons

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
