Varying Quality of Mid-Tier Managers. I was terminated on the spot by a manager who did not allow an exit interview and treated me like a transaction during termination. There was no constructive feedback, no regard for my good work nor my 'out-of-the-way' extra efforts and no sense of empathy by my manager given the tenured relationship we had. I felt as though this was cruel and unprofessional way to handle an employee termination for someone who had invested a lot of energy and efforts into the company as a hard worker.
