      Pros

      You get a lot of freedom to make it the program how you think best fits the residents. I had 4 amazing staff on my team (3 FT, 1 PRN). Awesome monthly budget. I got paid great. Good PTO accruals.

      Cons

      Toxic work environment with the other department heads. But you can avoid most of it if you stay in line and don’t speak out. Most of us are overworked and are expected pick of the slack for the others that don’t do their job. Benefits are not great.

      Pros

      Working with residents, meeting new staff every week. Pay is decent.

      Cons

      New staff every week, because no one stays longer than a month. The management is absolutely horrible and unqualified. Communication sucks. Some house are absolutely disgusting. Always working under staffed. Times where there are no nurses and house staff have to pass meds ( if they get packaged) .
