Pros

Easy, semi-decent pay, good overtime opportunities

Cons

Staff is extremely uneducated on mental illness/brain injuries. Instructions seem to be based on behaviorism rather than cognitivism, which can be, in my opinion, really outdated. If you're fine with the principles of ABA therapy, maybe you'll think it's fine, but I really can't get behind yelling at mentally ill people until they eventually give up on getting whatever is upsetting them resolved. Also, the amount of drama between staff is unreal. Also. You have to have some real thick skin to work at the more intense facilities. You'll witness some... stuff.

Pros

Working with residents, meeting new staff every week. Pay is decent.

Cons

New staff every week, because no one stays longer than a month. The management is absolutely horrible and unqualified. Communication sucks. Some house are absolutely disgusting. Always working under staffed. Times where there are no nurses and house staff have to pass meds ( if they get packaged) .
