Cons
With the JV, company employed the “take it or leave it” approach thinking they were the only show in town. Many have already left in droves. Experience in technical services is extremely thin resulting in operational missteps and dangerous work environments. Mines are shutting down or delayed due to permitting failures. Some departments have over 60 percent turnover and cannot fill positions. Recruiting firms have to conceal NGM as the employer or else candidates walk. The kicking and screaming senior management have created a self preservation mentality in the remaining management team. Safety culture has been lost as everyone is afraid to report accidents or near misses. The injury rate has gone up significantly.
