Pros
Tons of advancement opportunities. We are so short handed that anyone with (and without) ambition can move up in the company. I work in a department where overtime opportunities are endless my first year I spent most of it as a tech three at 34/hr I grossed 120k. I believe without overtime my base pay would have been around 70k . Great schedule. Most of the mine is on 5/4, essentially working for 15 days out of the month. Decent retirement package. Good dental insurance.
Cons
Disorganized management. Us vs them mentality. Every department is against the other: target goals do not align. Production over safety and maintenance. Knee jerk reactions to incidents that arent realistic: the people creating corrective actions have no business creating SOPs for jobs they have never done. All of our equipment we use for our jobs and tools are in complete disrepair due to lack of parts and routine maintenance. Medical benifits are terrible. I have a 7000 dollar copay for a family of 2. All the cons of this company the I personally see are caused by the recent merger in northern Nevada and CEO from a communist country. Lack of manpower is just the reality of a post covid world. After all that, I truly believe this company could be something great but it's going to take a very long time to get there.
