Pros

After graduating from college and moving to Atlanta with no work experience, I stumbled upon New Acquisitions during a job search. I got hired and worked here for about 6 months. Though I did not end up staying with the company, I got the opportunity to learn so much. Not only does this company provide transferable work experience, it helped me grow into a more responsible adult. Members of my sales team were truly invested in my growth both as a salesman and a person. While here, I got the opportunity to get to know the city of Atlanta through weekly gatherings, travel to different states on business trips, and do some charity work as well. Lastly, working here developed mental toughness and a backbone. I strongly recommend this company for anyone who is seeking to gain some working knowledge and skill. Lastly, this company gave me an opportunity to see what I am made of and allowed me to push my limits.

Cons

These are not necessarily cons so much as they are things to consider. One, sales is hard! Do not go in without a willingness to learn and to deal with some pretty tough times. Two, they play favorites. If you show a willingness to get better even when you struggle, they will give you the world. If you have a bad attitude, they will not help you. Three, you HAVE to be self-motivated. Again, this is not the place for someone unwilling to grow. You get out what you put into this business. However, do not let any of these things keep you away from giving it a good honest try.

Pros

You might meet some cool co-workers while working here. I personally did. Also, the office park this place is headquartered at is pretty nice.

Cons

You have to wake up real early, dress in business professional every morning, and be at this uptown office park by 7 AM. You will be expected to arrive early, even if you don't get paid (I was SPECIFICALLY told to arrive more than 15 minutes earlier than I was scheduled for or else I would be considered "late"). Once you arrive, you will do very little and talk about stuff that could have just been an email for about an hour in a half. You will be expected to write everything down in a notebook to prove you are "paying attention". Then you will leave, go stand in the frozen foods aisle of a Costco for 8 hours whilst approaching and annoying passing grocery shoppers with the same tagline over and over until you can finally convince someone to subscribe to a lowly-rated water delivery service or whatever product they are having you promote at the time, which you will get $50 for. If you don't do these enough times by the end of the week, well, then congratulations you just wasted your time.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to clarify that our team members are only scheduled and compensated for their agreed-upon hours, and we do not require unpaid work. Punctuality and professionalism are expectations in any client-facing role, but they are never tied to unpaid time. Our morning meetings are structured training sessions focused on skill development, communication, and performance coaching - which are essential in a sales and marketing environment. Field marketing in retail settings is also clearly communicated during the hiring process, as it is a core part of the position. We strive to be transparent about responsibilities, compensation structure, and growth opportunities from the start, and we encourage candidates to ask questions to ensure the role aligns with their goals. We appreciate all feedback and continuously work to improve the experience for our team.
