Pros
Nice people for the most part.
Cons
My experience at New Home Star was disappointing from the start. The “training” was essentially book work and endless quizzes that felt more like elementary school homework than professional development. There was no real, practical guidance—just modules to click through and very little explanation of how to apply anything in real situations. Communication and support were almost nonexistent. When you ask for help, you’re either ignored or pointed back to the same generic materials that weren’t helpful in the first place. It often felt like you were set up to fail. The sales tactics they expect you to use are extremely cringe and outdated. Instead of focusing on genuine customer relationships, you’re pushed to follow scripts that feel unnatural and honestly embarrassing. It’s hard to have confidence when the methods you’re told to use don’t align with how real buyers behave. What made everything worse was how quickly they let people go. Employees are fired before they ever get the chance to prove themselves or apply what little they were “trained” on. It creates a constant atmosphere of fear and instability. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend New Home Star to anyone serious about building a long-term career in sales or real estate. The lack of real training, support, and modern strategy makes it extremely difficult to succeed.
