Pros
Huge opportunity to grow within a sales role (not very usual in New Home Sales); fast paced & dynamic; a great place to develop and build a career (not just a job); expanding like CRAZY!; the people you work with truly CARE- as a former employee of a public company this is few and far between as there is more of a "what have you done for me lately" mentality, not so here. If you have good ethics, care a lot, and work hard, there is typically a spot on the bus for you at New Home Star
Cons
Being a young organization that is growing rapidly, there can be a lack of communication at times (however, the executive team is working hard to address this); not enough high talent managers YET so the executive team is spread pretty thin (again, this is being addressed with rolling out a new management development program which is awesome for young talent looking to grow in their career); we work A LOT and we work HARD (this isn't really a con for me as this is how I am wired, however, if you do not want to be a contributor to the company and want to just punch a clock, this probably isn't the place for you); not as many benefits as a public builder but as we grow and establish they are adding to the program which is great (this is the one area I would say lacks amongst a public builder- just for now, however).
