First, I’d like to say thank you for your honest feedback. We take this type of feedback very seriously and I am obviously disheartened to hear of this.
My main concern is that you feel that you have raised issues that have fallen on deaf ears. We have a process in place to investigate every complaint and take measures to rectify. You might not always know what the response is, because we often have to keep next steps and follow-up confidential. That said, I’d like to hear from you directly and see how I can better support you. Please email me or set up time for a 1:1, I am here and I want to listen.
As for the broader data, we do review our promotions for equity and overall feel good about where we are. For example, over the last 12 months we have had a proportional amount of women receive promotions -- i.e. the % of promotions that go to women is (very) slightly higher than the % of Relics who are female. This is equally true in the Product/Eng org as it is for New Relic broadly. While we acknowledge that we don’t have as many women working at New Relic as we would want, we are working hard at recruiting and retaining diverse talent (more details here: https://blog.newrelic.com/2017/07/14/diversity-inclusion-report/).
Again, thank you for honesty. I hope to connect soon -- my door is always open.
Kristy
