Pros
The individual contributors and front-line and middle management are the best people I've ever worked with. Even though my time at New Relic ended badly, I'll always have good memories of the people I worked with and the work I did, and I'm lucky enough to count several of them among my friends now. The culture there strives to be very diverse, inclusive, and equitable, and I always felt like I could be myself without worrying about being weird (in a negative sense).
Cons
Company leadership seems to be going downhill. The updated user interface was released before it was really complete; then more recent goals have had numerous teams working lots of extra hours. There have been a few rounds of layoffs, some very quiet that weren't even announced within the company, and then a pretty messy, hastily-executed one (in the middle of COVID-19, no less) where the reliability organization was gutted along with random people from other teams. Every time I hear anything about how things are going from my former colleagues who still work there, I'm more and more glad I was laid off.
