Pros
I came to New Relic because we have a lot of great talent and lots of money in the bank to invest in more talent and M&A. However I won't sugar coat it, I think we could have done a better job building market-leading tech the past three or four years, we let companies like Datadog and Elastic catch us. I was skeptical over the summer but it sounds like Bill has us back on track now! Everyone I know in engineering is pumped about all of the cool new things they are building and I trust them so I have a lot of confidence in where we are at. The people I work with have a lot of grit and determination to win so I feel lucky.
Cons
Some folks got a little politically charged over the summer and it was a bit uncomfortable. Everyone seems so growth mindset oriented and kind here my bet is it would have been a non-issue had we been in the office together and could have talking it out. But you live and you learn and I think we are all stronger from it.
