Pros
The product is good and robust. It's a California-based company, so there are lots of the casual perks that come along with a job like this. Snacks in the office, lots of swag, good benefits.
Cons
Leadership continually ignores problems and tries to sweep them under the rug. The culture used to be great but as 2020 carried on more and more scandals arose - questionable donations to an anti-LGBTQ+ school, accidental posts by leadership mocking the requests of employees to expand parental benefits, the ongoing fatigue of the pandemic, addressing the trauma surrounding George Floyd. During every event, employees were simply told to "keep working harder" so that the company could meet its overambitious goals and then never address those problems at all. I would love to love New Relic, but the shoddy leadership that exists now drove me and hoards of others away - after all, the CEO told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave.
