Pros

Nice offices Great products World Class CEO Marketing Department that rocks! Treats customers extremely well

Cons

If you don't work in Sales or Engineering, you will feel like second class citizen Finance team is difficult to work with and often hostile to other employees Top leadership in Sales is aloof and not friendly. You might say snobby and often just rude Salaries are well below market in San Francisco - you can do better almost anywhere else Stock options are extremely small allocations and not worth staying around to vest Looks good on resume, but don't stay too long. Very little give, too much "take"

Thank you for the feedback. We’re also really proud of our great offices, wonderful product, and a fabulous CEO. And I agree that Marketing rocks! And I am troubled to hear your experience with other groups. It is not what we expect of leaders, nor what I hear from many Relics who work with them. I will talk those leaders to make sure they understand your experience. On compensation, we aim to be competitive, and that is what the data shows. Independent salary surveys place our compensation a bit above the midpoint – which means that there are roughly as many companies that pay more than us as there are who pay less – definitely not “below market”. More important, we aim to be well better than competitive in providing a great employee experience. And the data supports that too. Our voluntary turnover and offer acceptance rates are both better than average. In our quarterly anonymous survey, with four out of five Relics responding, *eighty-nine percent* agreed (or strongly agreed) with the statement “I would recommend New Relic as a great place to work”. Candidates and employees alike appear to generally agree that there is a very good “return” on working at New Relic. I am unhappy to hear that your experience was so different, so difficult, and would appreciate getting more details if you want to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you. Pros

New Relic truly walks the walk. I love that the company leans into a Challenger Mindset; it creates a dynamic where we are always improving and staying ahead of the curve. Even as a new hire, my perspective feels valued. Beyond the tech, the culture is unprecedented. Everyone is incredibly helpful and stays Accountable to one another. It’s rare to find a place that is this friendly while still maintaining a high bar for getting work done.

Cons

Still in the honeymoon phase, but navigating the vast amount of internal documentation can be a bit of a whirlwind during the first month; definitely feel like "drinking from a fire hose." While the team is supportive, the sheer volume of information can be overwhelming for a newcomer.

Pros

Man, this was a great company back in the day. Almost everyone is gone now.

Cons

Horrific middle management. This was all a long time ago though. The people I worked with are all gone.
