Pros

The New York Times has a tremendous brand and some extremely intelligent people working for them. A large portion of the employees aren't just coworkers, but are actual friends outside of work.

Cons

A number of the employees in management roles have their own agenda and significantly limit the productivity of the company.

Challenging and rewarding work. You'll work in an environment that publishes the news everyday, if you are excited about helping people learn more about the world, you'll love it here. Good benefits, hybrid work, and really smart coworkers.

Cons

Does not pay like big tech but as an IC you'll be part of union with job protections
