Stressful Calls, Management only cares about numbers - Customer Service Representative Newegg Employee Review

Pros

Secure work hours for the most part, because people are constantly quitting. Free food sometimes, plenty of microwaves and fridges (if you decide to eat there). Free coffee, green tea. Nice people but we hardly get to interact since we are required to just take calls for 8 hours.

Cons

Stressful Calls, Pay is sub par for the amount of stress, Management does not really care about how emotionally taxing the job is on people so they do not have any mental health/wellness programs. There is a specific amount of time we can have off calls, and it all factors in to our daily adherence to schedule. Going to the restroom when you're supposed to be on calls counts as an emergency and that is frowned upon. You can't take days off unless you have paid time off to cover the absence. Supervisors are able to help but are hardly at their desk, so we have to contact an agent support desk and wait on hold to be helped with simple exceptions. They also don't get paid enough to deal with escalated calls. You could be having a mental breakdown, and Management's response will be "so can you go back on calls? We need you."

Pros

Great learning opportunities with exposure to multiple aspects of the business. Fast-paced environment that encourages continuous growth and adaptability. Clear team structure and well-defined responsibilities, allowing employees to stay focused and execute efficiently. Plenty of opportunities to take ownership of projects and make a meaningful impact. Collaborative teams and strong cross-functional communication.

Cons

As a global company with a diverse workforce, communication styles can vary across teams. In some situations, discussions may take place in languages other than English, which can occasionally create challenges for employees who are not fluent in those languages.
