Pros
- You only have to clock in once - Free dinner if you stay at 7pm (never got it) - Good heath benefits - Good networking with vendors - Vendor Samples - Work/life balance (varies depending on category/position) - Good resume builder - outside the company people think very highly of newegg - You'll get a better job with this company under your belt
Cons
- Constant change - EVERYTHING Changes, your managers, your directors, your assistants, your colleagues, your position and even your seat. I moved seats literally 10 times in 2 years, sometimes it's the desk right next to me, you have to pack everything up over and over. I learned to never unpack. They use to offer free breakfast every Friday, and then took it away. They offered monetary incentives for high sales on their prominent promotional vehicle, and then stopped because people were winning too much. - Horrible communication - 90% of the company speaks mandarin so that's all you hear each day. Some worker's english is very hard to understand, and some are even high level employees. You'll constantly get forwarded to someone else to handle a small issue. No camaraderie between similar categories. Everyone's only looking out for themselves and will throw people under the bus if they feel threaten. - They call big company meetings with EVERYONE and make promises like merit increases and promotions, then tell you face to face that those promotions and merit increases are only for managers and directors. Are you kidding me?!?!?! Then why tell the entire company?!?!? - Horrible turnover - They pride themselves in hiring more people and saying they're growing, when in actuality, people are getting fired or quit everyday. They're just replacing those positions. - Culture - There really isn't much. You'll meet some cool people and then you'll have to move away from them, or they quit or get fired.
