Pros

Decent Compensation: The organization offers competitive pay, which may appeal to many candidates. Startup-Like Culture: If you thrive in a chaotic, fast-paced, and unstructured environment, this could be an exciting opportunity.

Cons

Challenges in the Organization: The organization appears to operate in an unstructured manner, leading to inefficiencies. Leadership Issues: Current senior IT leadership is perceived as ineffective and causing additional challenges within the organization. Anyday if the CIO thinks you are not doing enough based on recent issues, it is better you start looking out asap Apart from CIO all other engineering people are trying to save own jobs. It is a one-man show who decides everything Employees in IT are expected to be available 24/7, often needing to handle calls from the CIO at any hour. IT staff are at significant risk of being blamed for project challenges, with leadership often attributing problems to individual performance. It's crucial to know how to project your skills and capabilities effectively to senior leadership. Preparedness for High Expectations: Be ready to adapt to the demanding culture, including odd hours and critical calls. Understand that project setbacks might be seen as your personal failure

Pros

When I first joined Newmark in 2021 I could not have been more happy with the company, my manager, leadership, compensation, growth, and opportunities

Cons

The company made the decision to replace US based workers with employees based in Mexico so that they could offer lower wages. It was extremely disappointing to find that after almost five years with the company that I would be replaced by employees who could afford to accept lower wages.
