High Stress - Team Lead Newrez Employee Review

Pros

You can make really good money, but it's kind of offset by extremely high cost insurance. You will work a lot of hours but you can easily make 60-70k and if a top performer you can make 80-90k, once in management you'll be in a 6 figure income.

Cons

You work a lot, they micromanage everything and most the hall monitors aren't consistent, so you can get in trouble one month for something that was fine last month. Constant change with poor training and execution and constantly trying to find ways to pay you less. They'll implement new programs and processes and use them to impact your bonus, while not making expectations or procedure, clear and understood. Before they merged it was great but after the merge and several management changes, it became very toxic, extremely stressful, too the point that you'd see several employees have breakdowns. They don't value core values, only numbers and they don't care if you are above board ethically as long as it produces numbers and isn't risking fines.

Pros

- Great work/life balance - Awesome coworkers - Lots of opportunities to try new things and be innovative

Cons

- Senior leadership does not value remote workers and doesn't get to know them/engage with them - Frequently lays off remote employees, regardless of performance, achievements, or job role, sometimes without offering options to move or relocate. They also on occasion use underhanded tactics to pressure remote employees to leave so they don't have to pay out severance. Lastly, unless required by your state's law, they never pay out your remaining time off - If you start underpaid, you will remain underpaid even after promotions - Job performance does not impact yearly bonuses/increases. Pay doesn't keep up with inflation
