Pros
- Fully vertical developer means lots of exposure to different parts of solar/battery development, financing, management, customer operations, sales, marketing, etc - Offices are nice and there is a team dedicated to putting on employee engagement activities - IT is phenomenal and no issues with experimenting with new tools/software and having the best equipment needed - Plenty of smart people and good blend of young/experienced folks - Nexamp has a strong/positive reputation in the industry and is generally viewed favorably with vendors/partners - There is general encouragement around fostering innovation and cultivating ideas that will make the business/product/teams run/work better
Cons
- Pay is pretty weak compared to industry standards and internal compensation/raise system is basically a made up number ranking system with 0 insight on methodology - Senior leaders are compensated quite well but there is a drop off when it comes to junior employees - Lot of title 'bloat' as many people are VPs and Directors so it basically means nothing - Leadership wants to attract talent in high COL cities and is demanding in-office attendance but does not adjust salaries/benefits accordingly - There is no help on career development from HR/People teams - ISO equity awards are seemingly worthless since the company does not seem to be approaching an exit/liquidity event anytime soon
