Pros
*Pay you to learn new technologies. -I graduated from college as a game developer coding mainly in C# and had very little web development experience before I started at Nexient. After 6 weeks of training in there boot camp, my javascript skills were solidified, I gained a better understanding of the Angular2 framework, and learned how to use React library. *Very open and friendly atmosphere. -Open floor plan encourages conversation between co-workers and gives the place a warm welcoming feeling. *Senior developers help guide younger developers to write better code. -Experienced developers are always willing to help out those who seek the knowledge. *Game room is great place to relieve some stress if need be. -Sometimes starring at a screen for hours on end can become stressful so taking a break to go play a game is a nice luxury to have. *HR listens to employees to make sure they are happy and needs are fulfilled within reason. -Management always takes employees opinions into consideration.
Cons
*Numerous times you get told your getting put on a certain project so you start learning up on the associated technologies with it but then the project either falls through or you get put on a totally different project. -Not much of a con, but still annoying being told to do one thing and then a few days later you are pushed down a completely different path.
