Pros
I will be 100% honest and objective. This is my first review on the internet ever, and I really felt the need to do this so people can get the real picture. The team that I worked with was amazing! We had really nice atmosphere and great people that I truly enjoyed working with. However, it is the only positive thing that I can say about Nexient.
Cons
Now, the uncomfortable truth. First off, I believe that 90% of reviews are fake (requested from upper management so they can bump up the average rating, I assume). Second, Nexient significantly underpays people. The salary info is 100% incorrect and I am saying this as someone who worked there for nearly 2 years. The average salary for my position (according to their stats) is 50K higher than what I was making before I left (and I got two raises while being in that very same position, and yet ended up being 50K off of "their average"). The position below mine makes 20K more on average than what I used to make. I think this tells you enough if you have common sense so you can completely disregard salary info. They made them up to attract candidates. Regarding the projects and code quality (I'm saying this as a programmer and also from my personal experience), Nexient stands way below average. Now, there is an explanation. Nexient mostly deals with fresh graduates (because they cannot retain good coders) who have no experience and understandably cannot write high-level code. When I joined we had to build the entire application from the bottom up because the code they had was on the level of a mediocre school project. There are many other things that I would mention but I think this is already enough to paint a clear picture of Nexient in your head. That being said, in my honest opinion, Nexient is a viable option only for recent grads who cannot get a job, don't care about pay, and need something temporary just to step into the industry and acquire some skills. Once they reach the 12-month mark, they can no longer benefit from this place (if they are motivated and hungry for knowledge and success). My intent here was to help people make the right decision and not waste their time interviewing at a place that doesn't fit them. I got a job that pays me exactly 95% more compared to what I was making at Nexient so I am completely neutral and have no feelings toward Nexient.
