Pros

-Decent Cafe -New building looks good -Most people are friendly -Biggest Utility in Florida and room for growth however…

Cons

-While they’re trying to “better work/life balance”, they’re completely refusing to budge on working remote or having a hybrid environment. This has been a deal breaker for many and some have left or started plans to leave the company. -Cares more about being “the biggest company you’ve never heard of” than creating a better work environment -Old-fashioned management that promises work output that is not reasonable for the amount of employees -There are some personalities in management that are brilliant but awful to work for. -Turnover rate is abysmal, young people are waiting out the hiring bonus period to jump ship. -Training in some departments is non-existent. Most are happy to help, but are too busy with their own projects. -Pay is not adjusted to cost of living. -Computer programs that are ancient and don’t work half the time.

Pros

NextEra is a highly organized company with well-established processes, clear structures, and strong collaboration across teams. The company genuinely invests in its people and provides opportunities to learn, grow, and work alongside experienced professionals. One of the biggest advantages is the scale of the work. You have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that can create a real impact across the organization and ultimately affect millions of customers. It is a great place for people who want their work to have a meaningful, large-scale impact.

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes and decision-making can take time due to the number of stakeholders involved. The structured environment may also require some adjustment for people coming from smaller or fast-moving startups.
