Pros

So far, I have change projects a few times with different team members. I like being able to meet other people within the company, while learning new technologies along the way. NextGen has handled the pandemic/working from home really well. They were able to ship my a work laptop, and a home monitor set up to help transition to a work from home environment. Each of my teams meet up to three times a week, which helps to keep everyone accounted for with their assigned tasks.

Cons

I haven't had that many cons so far as a full-time employee. Switching projects can go two ways, either you're happy you get to switch or you liked your last project more than your new one. I really enjoyed my first project, but I am glad to get out of my comfort zone. It has helped me learn new languages, and new technologies.

Pros

Work at your own pace. Work on what you want to progress in.

Cons

Not much of guidance on what you should work on if your mentor is not in a role you want to work up to. If you want to work in cloud services and your mentor is an engineer they kind of wont have anything to help you with. Also since this company is larger built on government contracts, if you do not have a clearance, which you likely wont, this is not many projects if any that you can get real world experience. It is just mainly self learning through courses on LinkedIn learning
