Nice views and some great coworkers

Where to begin... If I could have given Nextech zero stars, I would have. This company is corrupt from the top down. If you want your voice to be heard and want to feel valued, DO NOT work here. If you want to feel supported by your manager, DO NOT work here. If you want to understand your company and have transparency from your leadership team, DO NOT work here. If culture is important to you, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT work here. If you want leadership who is honest and holds true to their word, DO NOT work here. If you want to be treated with respect, DO NOT work here. Nextech does not value their employees nor do they value their customers. The success of the customer is not important to Nextech and the growth of their employees is at the very bottom of their list of priorities, if at all. If you would like to be gossiped about by your managers, you should work here. If you would like for other employees to come and tell you about the childish things leadership is saying about you, you should work here. If you'd like your pay cut DRASTICALLY with little to no warning, you should work here. If you want to see incompetent leaders promoted, you should work here. If you are more interested in playing the game of politics than doing your job, you should work here. If you want an HR department head who does not listen to any of the employees, you should work here. Employee after employee say the same thing on their exit interviews and nothing ever gets done. If one person complains, I understand no action being taken. When person after person after person is complaining about the same things, it becomes painfully obvious that the company just. doesn't. care.

Pros

Amazing culture throughout the org. Benefits are amazing and HR actually listens to the employees and try to make changes.

Cons

Healthcare cost has increased year over year but company is trying to level that out by making some larger changes.

Pros

Remote work and pet insurance were the most valuable benefits during my time there.

Cons

Leadership and internal communication could be improved. Opportunities for advancement did not feel equitable or accessible, and there appeared to be limited diversity within the organization, particularly in accounting and finance. Career growth pathways were unclear, and decisions around promotions and development often seemed based on preference rather than performance or readiness. Compensation transparency was also an area of concern, and conversations around salary or role clarity were sometimes met with dismissiveness rather than support. When my position was eliminated, there was no discussion about internal transfer or professional development options, despite open roles shortly after. Additionally, feedback mechanisms did not always feel anonymous or actionable, which made it difficult for employees to express concerns openly. Overall, I believe there is room for improvement in creating a supportive, inclusive environment with clear career mobility and transparent communication without retaliation.
