Pros
There is a lot always happening, many opportunities to build your resume with experiences. A strong drive to perform well and make this company better than itself and try to be better than its international competitors.
Cons
Your experience is very dependent on which plant you go to and who you work under. Every plant has its own culture, and your ability to move up in the company is limited by politics and timing with openings. Positions come and go but favoritism is strongly played here. Do not expect to come here and move to a different role for a few years at least. Pay has also been altered to be "performance based" which means that annual raises do not occur but a stronger emphasis is made on global performance of the company to dictate your bonus. Maybe this is all uaw places, but the treatment of the uaw comes across as very negative from hr and some upper management people that I don't believe is fair. People do not come first here.
