Pros

1. **Hands-On Administrative Support** The administration team at NEI is highly involved and accessible. They don't just set expectations—they actively support teachers in achieving them. Whether it's through frequent classroom check-ins, collaborative planning, or real-time problem-solving, the leadership is present and invested in both student and teacher success. 2. **Strong Family Engagement** NEI prioritizes authentic partnerships with families. Regular communication, family events, and shared goal-setting create a school culture where parents are active participants in their child’s education. This engagement strengthens the classroom dynamic and builds trust between school and home. 3. **Culture of Accountability** At NEI, accountability is a shared value—not just something teachers are expected to uphold. Students are responsible for their own learning, parents are engaged in supporting growth, and the leadership team holds itself accountable for providing the resources and support needed for success. This balanced approach fosters a high-performing, supportive environment for all. 4. **Empowerment in Leadership** As a Lead Teacher, you're not just managing a classroom—you’re helping shape the instructional vision of the school. NEI empowers Lead Teachers to mentor colleagues, drive data-informed instruction, and be part of decision-making processes that impact the whole school community. 5. **Mission-Driven Environment** NEI is deeply committed to its mission, and that sense of purpose is felt across the school. Staff, students, and families are aligned in working toward meaningful academic and personal growth, making the work both challenging and deeply rewarding.

Cons

1. **Growing Pains of a Newer School** As NEI continues to expand, it faces the typical challenges of a growing organization—adjusting systems, refining procedures, and scaling school culture. This can sometimes lead to inconsistencies or the need for quick pivots as the school adapts in real time. 2. **High Expectations and Fast Pace** The work is rigorous and fast-moving. With a strong focus on results and accountability at every level, Lead Teachers are expected to juggle instructional leadership, classroom management, and team collaboration—all while driving student achievement. 3. **Limited Resources at Times** Like many growing schools, NEI may occasionally face limitations in materials, staffing, or space. Flexibility and creative problem-solving are often required to meet student needs despite these constraints. 4. **Ongoing Change and Development** With NEI still solidifying some of its structures and systems, policies and priorities can evolve quickly. This dynamic environment can be exciting, but also challenging for those who prefer more established routines or long-term consistency. 5. **Heavy Time Commitment** Lead roles often require extended hours, especially during key times of the year. Balancing instructional duties, leadership responsibilities, and family engagement efforts can be demanding.

Pros

Through NEI, I have found a home that truly appreciates the talents that I bring to the table. Being honest, I have worked harder at this school than any other school I've been at, but it's because the culture is so robust and the effort to help the students is very high. When I first started, there was a lot to learn, but my colleagues helped me out, in particular the administrative staff. There are so many willing, helpful people around you. I will be starting my second year here, and have already experienced a lot of professional growth, as well as company advancement. We have ample technology at our fingertips, including iPads, MacBooks, and AppleTVS. The students in this area are at a deficit academically, and my school is definitely working to change that!

Cons

Because to the type of students that we serve, they often have never been in a consistent, safe, structured school environment, and often need to be taught how to thrive in such an environment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Your words are truly encouraging. We are grateful that you have found a professional home where you feel your talents are appreciated and where you have experienced both growth and opportunity. Even more meaningful is your heart for our students. While many come to us needing consistency, structure, and support, that is exactly why our mission matters. Every day, we have the privilege of helping students discover what is possible. Thank you for your dedication, your willingness to work hard, and for making a difference in the lives of our students. We are grateful you are part of the NEI family and look forward to all that your second year will bring.

Pros

I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to start working for this organization. During the entire interview process I felt how important it is for each employee to put the children first and create a space to creatively push children to their potential. I have been praying to work for a school where their core values are doing the best for their students and to have future possibilities to grow within the company. This organization makes it clear from the start to give both and every employee I have met seems so pleased to be working here each day. In addition to this the CEO and upper management are always available to answer any questions and are very involved in helping with classrooms, teachers, even school pick up and so much more which you don’t always see in schools. I would definitely recommend working here already if you want to work in a place that cares about even the little things, makes you feel heard and will push you to be your best self.

Cons

I honestly don’t have any I wish I found a school like this sooner.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful message. Reading your words was both humbling and encouraging. At the heart of our organization is a simple belief: every decision we make should begin and end with what is best for students. We are entrusted with an incredible responsibility, helping shape the lives and futures of young people, and that responsibility calls us to lead, serve, and support one another at the highest level. We are especially grateful that you recognized the commitment of our team. The culture we strive to build is one where every employee feels valued, supported, challenged to grow, and connected to a purpose greater than themselves. We believe that when we invest in our people, our people can make an even greater impact on students. Your comments about leadership being present and accessible mean a great deal to us. No matter our title or role, we are all here to serve. Whether that means supporting a classroom, helping during dismissal, answering questions, or solving problems together, we are one team working toward one mission. Most importantly, we are thankful that God has led you to our organization. We are blessed to have educators and leaders who are passionate about students and committed to continuous growth. The future is bright, and we are excited to see the impact you will have on the lives of the students and families we serve. Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing to be part of our family. We are grateful you are here, and we look forward to growing together as we continue to pursue excellence on behalf of our students.
