Pros

Mission in Motion: Noble doesn’t just post its values on a wall, staff and students live them every day, and the impact is real. Fair Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for stipends and incentive bonuses that genuinely add up. Affordable Benefits: Health insurance and other benefits are reasonably priced and accessible. Professional Growth Everywhere: Both the campus and network offer meaningful development opportunities that actually translate into skill-building, not just PD for PD’s sake. Feeling Seen & Valued: Leadership makes it clear that your work matters, and you feel it in the way students grow and respond. Students Who Make the Work Worth It: Noble students are bright, resilient, and a joy to work with which is one of the biggest reasons to stay.

Cons

The Work Is Demanding: High schools move fast, and expectations can shift quickly. The pace and pressure aren’t for everyone. Constant Change: Procedures, priorities, and systems evolve often; flexibility is essential, but the inconsistency can be exhausting. Coaching Quality Isn’t Consistent: As a coach, I see firsthand how some teams struggle because campuses lack qualified coaching staff or structured support. Some sports simply aren’t competitive due to gaps in coaching expertise. Certain campuses, especially on the South Side, don’t always receive equitable resources, recognition, or support. This imbalance shows up in athletics, academics, and program opportunities. Limited Athletic Support: Some sports don’t get the resources, equipment, or development they need, holding students back from reaching their full potential.

The leadership team and co-teachers are very welcoming and helpful to newly hired members.

Cons

Each day presents significant challenges; therefore, new teachers must acquire skills and perform responsibilities with precision and efficiency to minimize mistakes.

Pros

Decent pay, pretty great benefits, pension,

Cons

Many. No feedback on performance, different noble school allow paras to get summers off, paid/unpaid, must work all summer. It’s so inconsistent. LBS1s at times don’t do their jobs and expect para to lead, yet we don’t get paid for that, prioritize test scores and gpa gaps but not actual learning, all teachers are expected to pass kids at the end of the year. Standards base grading is absolutely hurting these students and their retention in college.
